Step Into The Unknown

Back in January Stance made the exciting announcement that Willow Smith was to be added to their creative visionaries’ family; ‘Punks and Poets.’

As the brand’s latest muse, Smith joined fellow ‘Punks and Poets’ ambassadors Adrianne Ho, SoKo, and Rihanna in creating her very own collection, titled 'Step Into The Unknown'.

November saw the release of this collection, consisting of three unique styles; You Thought You Knew, Earth vs. Cosmo and Step Into The Unknown.

The socks’ designs mesh together her youthful creativity with her inquisitive and forward thinking mind-set. The final products are sophisticated and enigmatic designs, available in Stance’s 200 Everyday and Tall Boot fits.

Speaking on the collaboration, Willow said: ‘With Stance I was given total creative freedom to tell a story and share my vision.  I pull a lot of inspiration from the idea that there is more about this world than the here and now, and that’s what this collection represents to me.  I like the thought that every day you can step into the unknown.’ Willow’s collection inspiration is accompanied by beautifully styled futuristic and cosmic campaign imagery.

Willow’s self-titled signature collection is available to buy now on Stance online and in Selfridges. Read more about the collection on iD and Clash  online now.

The collection comprising of 6 styles for men and women, is influenced by the rich heritage and history of Lee Cooper that spans over a century, establishing its iconic status as the Original Denim Brand.

In the build-up to the collection launch, and following the brand’s exclusive launch party with Brit Awards Critics Choice winner Jack Garratt, we secured some excellent coverage in the leading fashion titles both in print and online.

GQ included a pair from The Cooper Collection in their line up of ‘9 Best New Menswear Items In The World This Week’. The feature included a brief history of the Lee Cooper brand, and chose the ‘Archie’ as their favourite style from the collection.

Meanwhile The Times Magazine chose to showcase The Cooper Collection in their weekly ‘Brand Watch’ feature, coining the styles as “jeans for work, rest and playing rock ‘n’ roll”.

We also secured a full page spread for The Cooper Collection in Coach Magazine as part of their weekly feature ‘The Details’. The piece paid homage to Morris Cooper, the founder of the Lee Cooper brand, and detailed the high quality finishes on the three men’s styles.

Another coverage highlight included The Observer Magazine featuring The Cooper Collection on their ‘We Love..’ womenswear page which showcases their pick of weekly fashion favourites.

LET'S BE FRANK

Coffin on Cake PR is proud to be working alongside Red Bull Media House on the global social media and PR launch of Let's Be Frank, a visceral journey through the unseen and unknown world of the big wave surfer from South Africa by Peter Hamblin which is exclusively premiering on Red Bull TV on 19th September 2016.

Based on the supposed double life of South African big wave surfer Frank James Solomon, this out-of-the-box surf film is set in a “conspiracy theory”, where the lines of myth, legend and reality are increasingly blurred.  Featuring hit men, drag queens and layer cake, and starring familiar faces from the surfing world appearing in unfamiliar situations, this 50 minute film will take you on an intercontinental clandestine investigation leading to ask the question... Just who is Frank?  A gambler?  A playboy?  How is he funding his travels?  And how does he negotiate his sponsorship deals?  Ask yourself as well, if you were a conspirator, what storytelling references would you use?

This action-led fictional non-fiction film pairs a stylized 50’s colour palette with an inquisitive storyline and is accompanied by an haunting original music score from three-time Grammy Award winner and surfer Ben Harper, alongside Jesse Ingalls and Jason Mozersky.

Let’s Be Frank is an immersive experience navigating through the perceived worlds of one of the most respected big wave chargers on the planet and will leave you asking – Who really is Frank Solomon?

Here is the official Let's Be Frank trailer to get the quest for answers started.

Farah Tailoring

This AW16 sees the exciting launch of Farah menswear’s new tailoring range. Known for their menswear wardrobe staples this season Farah menswear branches out into the world of tailoring; creating classic pieces that compliment modern life and guarantee instant style.

The collection consists of a selection of 3 piece suiting and separates, including classic styles such as single and double breasted jackets, trousers, and waistcoats-

Inspiration for the collection comes from German industrial designer Dieter Rams, who is considered to be one of the world’s greatest product designers and whose work  in the 60s and 70s is considered as some of the most innovative of all-time.

His unobtrusive approach and belief in simple design generated timeless appeal and quality in his products. Farah’s Tailoring range continues Rams’ pursuit of minimalist design and incorporates his ethos of refined simplicity. Farah has chosen a tactile range of fabrics and colours to construct the suits. These include fine twills in burgundy and brilliant blue and textured hopsack in bottle green and light tan.

It also appeared in the July issue of Men's Health where it was placed in their monthly 'Style Digest' round-up. Our full page placement in Attitude magazine focused on the design details in the range, supporting 'Farah's step into the suiting world.'
